Detached in village setting

WITH Ballygarvan put on the map as a residential location near Cork city by a housing scheme nearing completion, buyers keen on the handy country village location have limited options in the market place.

Detached in village setting

Bride View Developments are close to sold out at Gleann Alainn, where they are building 135 homes, and have just four four-bed 1,300 sq ft houses to sell at 290,00 each, says Tom O’Keeffe, newly-appointed sales director with BVD.

For those looking to go the independent route in Ballygarvan, estate agent Donal O’Driscoll of GVM Auctioneers in Cork city has a three-bed detached bungalow, on a quarter acre site right beside the GAA’s playing pitches.

The bungalow, Greystones, has two reception rooms, three bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, and the site size gives room for extension. The gardens are pretty and private and there’s oil and back boiler central heating options.

Location is just 100 yards from Ballygarvan village, which has shop, church, garden centre, two pubs, and a national school, and there’s a school bus service to Carrigaline which is three or four miles away. Cork city is about five miles away.

Price guide is €270,000.
