A little touch of aristocracy

A QUEEN ANNE house in north east Cork, most likely built by the 6th Duke of Devonshire, is new to the market this week.

A little touch of aristocracy

An unusual property, it was once part of the Lismore Castle estate, and dates back to the late 1700s, according to the agent, John Gaffney.

The quaint two-storey house is part of a farm sale at Glentrasna, Ballynoe. Set in lush countryside between Fermoy and Lismore, the house and 12 acres of land are on the market with a guide price of €400,000. One of three identical houses, (there are two more in Conna, according to the owner), their Gothic looks were probably meant to fit in with the overall design of the Lismore Estate.
