Traditional yet with a stylish and comfortable 21st century spin

STYLE, individuality, space and comfort were the criteria for the design and build of this house on the banks of the Mulcahir River in Portryan Bridge, Co Tipperary.

Modern, but not too avant garde, this house blends the traditional with the 21st century and is very bright but with the cosiness of a cottage.

It’s also very big, but the bulk of the house is broken up by many gables, which give an interesting, and unpredictable internal layout. Rooms, however, segue naturally into one another, with bedrooms on the upper floor, accessed by a wrought iron and pine staircase.
