Inventive name for house on private mature grounds

NAMED from an amalgam of children's names, Arbarchel is a fine detached family home on Cork's highly sought-after Rochestown Road.

The c2,000 sq ft property, just before the once-more extended Rochestown Park Hotel, is a couple of minutes stroll to Douglas village, dates to the late 1980s, and is on private and now very mature grounds.

Built by O'Flynn Construction, it is a house that was equipped with extras at the time, in a prime site, and "is absolutely in spotless condition inside and out," says Jarlath Boyd of Hamilton Osborne King auctioneers.
