IT’S interesting to note that this newly-built house near Bandon, Co Cork, comes with geo-thermal heating.

The once esoteric, and in the long run, cheaper and greener, form of heating is fast becoming main stream, especially when it’s considered that this house is a speculative build.

It’s one of just two, similar properties close to Kilmacsimon Quay which are now almost completed by builder John Burke.

Each house sits on an acre site, and this particular property is already under offer at €480,000: the other house was sold off the plans.
