THE name has a ring to it a Hollywood star, a certain element of danger, something to knock the spots off the opposition.

A niche house development in Banteer, North Cork has a familiar sound Glen Close, indistinguishable to the ear from the actress Glenn Close.

She starred as Cruella De Ville in 101 Dalmations, and kept up her evil, or at least unsettling, persona in movies like Dangerous Liaisons and Fatal Attraction, the movie that threatened to knock adultery of the list of 10 favourite sins and lifted bunny rabbit boiling out of the pages of Mrs Beeton.
