Location stirs buyers

ALTHOUGH it’s been on the market for a couple of weeks now, there is still continuing interest in Arboretum, a detached bungalow off Cork’s Model Farm road.

Location stirs buyers

Although it’s under offer at €400,000, this subtly extended house has a guide price of €425,000 and the next week could be telling with regard to the sale, says Jarleth Boyd of CB Hamilton Osborne King.

With a huge back garden and an enviable location close to all the major institutions of the western suburbs of the city, this house could be a family or investment home.

However, it hasn’t been let up to this and is home to a young family, who’ve invested a lot of energy into renovating this post-war bungalow.

Most of the rooms have shiny new wooden floors and internal doors are mahogany.

The kitchen is newly fitted in maple and the house has replacement PVC windows installed.

The attic has been converted and has room enough for two double bedrooms, a bathroom, (with jacuzzi) and a walk-in hot press.

Downstairs are two other bedrooms, one of which is used as a TV room and has sliding doors to a rear patio, and two reception rooms.

The sitting room is a good size at 17’ by 13’ and the dining room is a little over 14 feet square.

Arboretum comes with a detached garage, an alarm, oil heating and tarmac driveway with parking for two cars.

Jarleth Boyd of HOK and John Hodnett of SWS Property Services are joint agents in the sale.
