A FORMER city planner used to joke that people in Cork were neither fussy nor demanding - they’d be happy with a detached house on an acre, oh, somewhere just off St Patrick’s Street. Similar versions of the story may also be told about Dublin and other cities.
Well, in Cork city at least, Tremont House is about as close as you’ll get in reality to that paradigm.
