Stunning price for Lee home

DESPITE evidence of an economic slowdown and a subsequent cooling in the property market, the odd surprise is still being thrown up.

Stunning price for Lee home

This week, following a short sale period, a terraced house at 25, Sunday's Well Road in Cork city was sold for a sum well in excess of its original guide price of €200,000.

The former home of Cork artist, Marshall Hudson, was on the market with Billy Casey of Casey Kingston. Despite being in a very rundown conditionthe house is believed to have achieved close to €270,000. Part of a terrace overlooking the Mardyke and the meandering Lee, this row has some of the best views in the city. Further down Sunday's Well road, almost at Wellington Bridge, Cahalane Skuse are selling a similar terraced property for offers around €200,000.
