And you can see why this Cork city park is just a walk from the centre of town, but has an almost rural feel up to the 1990s, this small enclave of houses was surrounded by farmland until the Deerpark estate was built behind.
Now, old farm ditches and berry covered hedgerows still remain as boundaries to the back gardens and give the estate a very settled and mature feel.
