Glenville auctioneer keeps buyers in her sites

IT’S unusual to have open viewings for serviced sites, but that’s just what auctioneer Noreen O’Sullivan did last week.

She had 23 serviced sites in an estate in Glenville, Co Cork, and decided to show the buying public a new approach to land sales and it worked.

Nine of the sites were sold and the agent plans to do the same this week. She'll be on site in Glenville from 2pm to 5pm.

In this estate of eight acres, there is full planning permission for seven bungalows and 16 dormer bungalows at a starting price of €185,000, including VAT at 13.5%.

Each site is in and around one-third of an acre, but the innovative touch here is that roads and footpaths are already laid and street lighting in place, so buyers know what they're getting.

Glenville is an attractive village, just 10 miles north of Cork city and is earmarked in the Cork County Development plan for expansion, as are all outlying settlements around the city.
