With over 2,000 sq ft of floor space and a separate, one-bedroomed apartment, the house was built as a holiday home by its vendor. Changing circumstances mean the property is now on the market through Sinéad Daly of Sherry FitzGerald McMahon and carries a guide price of E650,000.

Not your average run of the mill house, it's not in your average location either it overlooks Williamstown Harbour which is one of the quieter parts of the lakeshore and comes with lovely scenery, says Ms Daly.

The superstructure uses stout pine beams which support the deck and windows are wood-grain PVC for low maintenance, especially when there is so much glass on show.
