Home to make great Christmas

THE man behind the success of the exclusive, Old Head Golf Course, Jim O’Brien is to move sticks to Waterville and his present home, ‘Amberley’ at No 10, Riverside, Church Road, Carrigaline is now up for sale.

Home to make great Christmas

He and wife Ann are regrettably selling, but with houses in established areas rare enough on the market, the sale could make someone’s Christmas, says selling agent, Kevin Silke.

Number 10 has a lounge of 19’ by 18’ with dual aspect and a stone fireplace. There’s a family room of 15’ by 13’ and then a separate dining room of 13’ by 11’: it comes with a housewives-hatch to the kitchen. This is fitted in teak cabinets, (now that’s giving its style capsule) and has a separate and well-sized utility.

Then, there’s the inner hall leading to the house’s five bedrooms. The first room is l-shaped and stand alone and a second hall leads to the remaining four rooms, with the largest bedroom also ensuite and with a window on two sides. All but one of the rooms is a generous double.

The ground are well established, as might be expected and include a car garage. Dual oil and solid fuel heating is part of the package.

Silke Auctioneers, Carrigaline and Cork, have a guide price in the region of €550,000.
