Eurovision rules unfair

YOUR article ‘Nul points British prepare for the future’ (Irish Examiner, May 26) said the United Kingdom would be excluded from next year's Eurovision final due to receiving no points this year.

As one of the four major contributors to the Eurovision organising group (with Spain, Germany and France), the UK is automatically guaranteed its place in next year’s final; Ireland has to do it the hard way.

I don’t think there should be one rule for the big countries and another for everyone else.
