Health Minister Mary Harney should put measures in place now to organise the health service because it is lack of organisation, rather than finance, that’s the problem. I was one of the many people recently sent away from CUH’s A&E, having gone there with my two-year-old son who was to have had a x-ray.

Complete with buggy and all the trappings one brings to relieve boredom for one so young, thinking we were to be there for the long haul, we had to turn around immediately and head for the Mercy Hospital.
