Law society wants to consult old members

THE student Law Society at University College Cork celebrates its 75th session in the new academic year.

To celebrate this event, the society is proud to launch its history and alumni project, an endeavour which we hope will strengthen the society’s links with its past members and enable us to create a record of the society’s history and traditions. We hope eventually to publish a small commemorative history of the society.

Unfortunately, we have found that the society’s archives are in poor shape.

We are therefore relying on our past members to take the time to share their knowledge, anecdotes, photographs and souvenirs with us.

Anyone who was involved with the law society or the law students’ debating society from the late 1920s onwards is encouraged to contact us.

We would be very grateful for any assistance.
