Concert to cherish

I WISH to thank Dr Geoffrey Spratt for bringing the huge company of the Fleischmann Choir and Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra to UL Concert Hall, Limerick, on Wednesday, December 7.

I thank him also for including the world class Cork soprano, Mary Hegarty, who gave a stunning performance vocally and in her choice of music and dresses throughout the evening.

The young musicians in the orchestra seemed to me to perform at a level far above their years, in a most demanding and varied selection of music that I enjoyed very much.
