Paisley to blame for the latest breakdown

THE blame for the breakdown in talks on Northern Ireland can be placed squarely on the shoulders of Dr Ian Paisley and the DUP.

Their excessive, humiliating and never-ending demands on the IRA and Sinn Féin ensured that no agreement would be reached.

I am sure that even if the IRA had conceded to the demand for a full photographic record of the decommissioning to be published, Dr Paisley would have come up with another even more outlandish demand and blocked the agreement on that basis.
