Switch on to TG4 for quality programming

THERE was great hype over the starting of this year’s series of RTÉ’s Late Late Show on Friday September 5 and the introduction of a rival show by Eamon Dunphy on TV3.

Switch on to TG4 for quality programming

With due respect to all concerned, neither could hold a candle to Boinne Le on TG4 on September 6, presented by Seán Bán Breathnach. Furthermore, like so many other fine programmes on TG4 it was subtitled in English for those with little Irish or none.

Why do so many newspaper commentators completely ignore TG4 programming in their daily/weekly comments? There is never a mention of the excellent soap Ros na Rún, which has, I understand, quite an audience and is subtitled.
