Homeowners exposed as Danish insurer goes bankrupt

The collapse of any insurance company can create difficulties for consumers and the case of the bankrupt Danish insurer Alpha Insurance is no different.

In this instance, around 1,600 homeowners have been left exposed as they are unable, as individuals, to replace latent defect or structural warranty insurance typically taken out by a developer to protect homeowners if major structural issues occur in their homes.
