EU considers car collusion claim: Pollution plot?

The EU Commission opened an investigation this week into whether German car makers BMW, Daimler and VW colluded to avoid competition in developing clean emission technology.

The commission is considering if the carmakers agreed not to compete on developing and rolling out systems to reduce harmful emissions from petrol and diesel cars.
