Some of those in the West who advocate a hard attitude towards immigrants, especially those from Islamic societies, argues that the core values of some immigrants cannot be reconciled with the norms that prevail in destination countries.

The attitude of some Islamic immigrants to women, education and democratically endorsed constitutions make assimilation very difficult if not, in some cases at least, impossible.
