It may be a tad vulgar, a tad too Trump, to claim collective virtue for a society but it seems fair to say that the Irish are more often relaxed than hysterical.
This makes challenge bearable and invokes a calming karma. Our default response to a challenge — “aaaah, shure it’ll be grand after”— may drive foreign consultants to the edge of sanity but it preserves ours.
