Dáil sessions - Government should work full-time

The Dáil returned yesterday after its extended break for Christmas.

Opposition politicians complained that it was almost six weeks since they last had a chance to question the Taoiseach or other members of the Government.

Fine Gael and the Labour Party called for a 50% increase in the number of days that the Dáil sits.
