AT a time when the GAA is laughing all the way to the bank, it is deplorable that an organisation committed to promoting youth games should charge children under five to watch fringe championship events.

Many parents will endorse the criticism aimed by the Consumer Association at the GAA’s failure to introduce a family rate for all games.

Regrettably, such a family price rate is not available to parents who opt to bring their children into the stand during the championship qualifying matches.
