Curtin investigation - Public needs to see a fair outcome

It was crucial in order to assuage public concern that the Oireachtas Committee arrived at a decision yesterday to continue its investigation of Judge Brian Curtin.

That determination was taken after the members had received evidence from seven doctors, either personally or in writing, in relation to the judge’s health.

As far as they are concerned, he is fit to co-operate with the committee and he has been asked to explain how he came to be charged with possessing child pornography.
