Resource teachers – Department needs to rethink plan

There is a monotonous inevitability that the Government will get it wrong whenever it purports to address the highly contentious issues of resources and legislation for people with disabilities or special needs.

For too long, numerous groups have been demanding that proper resources and facilities be provided to meet those crucial needs and that they be available as a matter of right, rather than courtesy of the largesse of any disingenuous government.

The Irish Examiner has been to the fore in supporting that campaign and will continue to be.
