Insensitive decision on castle site

IT would be understandable and very appropriate if one of the environmental groups concerned with the Carrickmines Castle site launched an action to stop what is an outrage being perpetrated

It is disingenuous on the part of the Transport Minister, Seamus Brennan, to say he was uncomfortable in making a difficult decision which sacrificed part of the site for the sake of completing a motorway.

Environmentalists assert that considerably more of the site would be lost than admitted by the minister, and, in their opinion, it could amount to as much as 90%.
