PREDICTING future trends on the property market is something of a lottery.

Property market – Bubble unlikely to burst

In marked contrast with the prophets of doom in a recent issue of the Economist magazine, predicting house prices here were about to go through the floor, homeowners will doubtless be relieved by the latest AIB report ruling out any immediate prospect of the bubble bursting.

While this news will dismay first-time buyers, those fortunate enough to have gained a foothold on the property ladder will welcome this up-beat forecast.
