Commuters are victims of sorry mess
As the country's transport crisis continues to fester, the interests of the travelling public meant so little yesterday that two DART drivers failed to turn up for work. The knock-on effect was that seven trains failed to run, leaving thousands of people stranded.
If, as CIÉ claims, the absence of drivers was not part of an unofficial action, there is a clear onus on the company to alert key personnel when potentially disruptive actions are called off in the future.
