Time to re-examine Kosova case

The predicament of the Kosovan woman and her two young daughters who are now in hiding, raises at least two serious questions.

First of all, it is highly inappropriate that the two girls, aged four and five years, should have been interviewed by gardaí without the presence of an adult when they arrived at their address to deport all three.

Confronted by four gardaí, two of them female, at 7am must have been a distressing and traumatising experience for such young children, especially as they would have been aware that they were to be deported.
