Pathologist’s journeys - Cutbacks may lead to fatal errors

Marie Cassidy, the State Pathologist, indicated in an RTÉ interview yesterday that she could have problems in getting to the scenes of suspected crimes.

Any delay could have crucial consequences in gathering vital evidence.

Previously she could call on the gardaí to drive her to the scene, and she paid tribute to them for their help over the past couple of years.
