Croke Park - Historic decision is the correct one
Empowering the Central Council to allow rugby and soccer to be played in Croke Park was good for sport in general, and good for the image of the GAA in particular.
While the two-thirds majority was exceeded by just 11 votes, the difference between the proponents of the Sligo motion and those against it, at 130, reflected the mood for change in the Association throughout the country.
