Rape funding - Government ignores rape victims

NEXT to murder and manslaughter, rape is the most heinous offence in the catalogue of serious crime.

That makes all the more perplexing the Government’s failure to address a funding crisis that is having a devastating impact on services for the victims of rape and sexual assault.

A full year has passed since the Coalition promised it would make extra funding available to aid organisations that are clearly struggling to cope with a growing volume of reported rape incidents.
