CORI report - The poor are pushed into the shadows

THE widely-held perception that the gulf between rich and poor in this country is growing ever-wider is confirmed

It shows that while many in Ireland have become prosperous, the problems besetting others in society have increased exponentially.

Of particular concern is the denial of housing, public transport, education and proper social welfare supports for people on the margins.
