BUDGET 2016: After the feelgood budget stunts, Coalition is hoping for a sequel

This was no thriller, there had been far too many previews of Budget 2016: The Movie to allow for any suspense about what it contained. Anyway, after years of those stressful cliffhanger austerity blockbusters, we deserved the feelgood budget delivered by the Government yesterday.

It is not necessarily a bad thing that we were told almost everything there was to know about this budget.

It’s just the motivation behind those revelations were certainly political, rather than out of any desire to inform the public and widen the financial discussion about how we should spend our national kitty.
