BUDGET 2016: Permanent 9% Vat rate would bolster tourism

The decision to retain the Vat rate at 9% for tourism is a very positive move.

It would be better again if the 9% rate was a permanent rate as opposed to it being up for review each year.

Although referred to as being a reduced rate, it just keeps Ireland in line with other European countries and helps us to be competitive with those destinations.
