An age-old problem: state pensions threatened by budget cuts
At some point, all of us lucky enough to reach retirement age need to think about pensions — like or loathe them. The question is how we are going to fund the 16-odd years (and then some) that we’ll live after leaving the workplace.
The first source of funding for many in retirement is the state pension. For those of us actively working — will it still be there when we retire?
