Legal clarity in sight but fears over timeline

After six side-stepping governments and two decades of procrastination, it seems that legal clarity on abortion is in sight.

Before the Dáil breaks for Christmas on Dec 20, the Coalition is to announce which option to implement out of four recommended by an expert report.

All the indications from ministers are that legislation will be introduced.
