Social media: No way back

THE social world of young people in Ireland is dominated by their access to the new media available.

This is a fact and there is no turning back from this.

We estimate at St Patrick’s University Hospital that 80% of the young people who attend our service have experienced cyber-bullying at some stage. Nearly 100% of them use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
