A tale of two cathedrals

TWO concerts in a single night will allow Cork audiences to experience a heady dose of contemporary choral music on Friday, May 4. The concerts, part of the Festivals Gala series, bring world-class music to two of the city’s top venues.

The National Chamber Choir of Ireland’s early slot in St Fin barre’s Cathedral is an annual fixture that offers an exciting programme and attracts a large and loyal audience. The later Evocations concert in the North Cathedral is always a festival highlight, and this year’s concert will see the Czech Republic’s Gentlemen Singers give their first Irish performance.
