GET READY FOR PAW-RAS AN UACHTARAIN

THEY may not be taking the kids with them to their new home in the Phoenix Park, but Michael D and Sabina aren’t the only ones moving into the Áras on November 11.

The couple are set to adopt a one-year-old Bernese mountain dog called Bruno when they take up their new residence.

Bruno was given up for adoption by a couple from Northern Ireland who have emigrated to South Africa. Unable to bring Bruno with them, the couple gave him to dog breeder and Galway Bay FM broadcaster, Valerie Hughes, who is secretary of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ireland.
