The Lindsay Clancy case has gripped women across America, with some turning up daily to stand outside the courtroom to support her.
It raises questions about postpartum treatment, how we recognise severe maternal mental illness, and who gets to intervene when a mother suffering from it cannot recognise what’s happening to her.
