Terry Prone: Author book signing events can have a fairy tale ending
Writers do signings in shops all over Ireland, because the vast majority of books sold in any one year are sold in the six weeks before December 25

The greatest star of book signings was Mark Twain. As you’d expect, really.Â
He would apparently prevent the members of the substantial queue from getting bored by cracking jokes with them while they waited, and also found humour in the names of some of the people putting their freshly-bought copy of his book in front of him for his signature.
