Euro underdogs - Go Iceland!

EVER since David sucker-punched Goliath, we have basked in the joy of the underdog taking on the giant and winning against the odds.

Those odds were certainly against Iceland, a tiny Nordic nation with around one third of the inhabitants of the Portuguese capital Lisbon, when they faced Portugal in the 2016 UEFA European Championship.

Yet their soccer team prevailed at the Euros, holding the mighty Portuguese to a draw when most commentators expected a rout at their expense.
