Send that email! - ‘Leave’ side ahead in EU polls

THE campaigns around Britain’s vote on EU membership may not be in the finishing straight yet but they are on the last lap — voting takes place in just over two weeks on June 23.
Send that email! - ‘Leave’ side ahead in EU polls

The latest opinion poll gives the “Leave” side a four to five point advantage. An ICM poll showed 48% would vote to leave, up from 47% a week earlier, while 43% would opt to stay, down 1% point in a week. A YouGov poll showed 45% would opt to leave, up from 40% a month earlier, while 41% would opt to stay, down from 42%. The poll showed 11% were undecided, down two percentage points from a month earlier.

These results came just before leaders of Britain’s biggest trade unions issued a plea to six million members to vote to stay in the EU, warning that leaving would allow a Tory government to dismantle hard-won workers’ rights around parenting, holiday, and equality. The poll must be a worry for this country as Brexit is bound to have a negative impact on our economy and freedom of movement. We have skin in this game so we should use whatever influence we have to encourage a “Remain” vote. Send that email!
