We should have details of buyers from Nama

The Oireachtas housing committee has proposed the imposition of compulsory purchase orders on developers who are hoarding zoned land while awaiting a higher rate of return.

One wonders if such legislation will be implemented. A comprehensive list of such people or companies, who had purchased from Nama, should be compiled and published without delay. This information could then be scrutinised and assessed in conjunction with the confidential Nama valuation data which was leaked to certain “named individuals” by an employee.

We should have equality and transparency with regard to matters of such financial importance.
