Shared painful experiences

Peter O’Dwyer’s article on Iceland and the reports of the current situation in Greece reminds us of what we in Ireland have been through in recent years.

They also remind us that all three countries have had different, but painful experiences since all three collapsed in 2010.

Lastly they remind us that, despite the devastating effects of the austerity that was a consequence of the collapse, Ireland has recovered well when compared to the countries which endured a similar collapse.
