A vote for Independents is a vote for instability

So now that the deal between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael is more or less done and dusted, it’s time for the independents to have their days in the limelight.

A vote for Independents is a vote for instability

For the next week, we will be hearing about everything from sorting out hospital opening hours in Waterford to pothole fixing in Kilgarvan “for the good Of the country”. Of course.

If we have learned anything from this election, we’ve learned that a vote for independents is a vote for chaos, vested interests, and ultimately an unstable Government.

So Enda and Micheál, ignore “d’indendent depetys”, have an election for Taoiseach between you and anybody else who wants to stand and let the cards fall where they may.

And if it doesn’t work, go straight back to the country... that’ll soften a few coughs.
