Dublin media should look closer to home before criticising Healy-Raes

Last week’s Late Late Show segment involving Dearbhla McDonald criticising the parties for not creating a government was hypocrisy to say the least.

The panel discussed the salaries that the TDs receive for their actions — but what about Ryan Tubridy’s salary for doing less? He’s got a gift for everyone in the audience, I suppose, so that covers his back.

In the programme, the panel criticised the Healy-Raes for having a Kerry accent and looking after their constituents. However, there was no mention of the parish pump politics which was and still is taking place in Dublin and which brought this country to its knees.
